  Are we saved by faith alone? This is the topic of whether or not Christians are saved by faith alone or is it faith plus works, specifically what the Bible teaches in regards to James chapter 2. The Protestant position is Sola Fide (faith alone). We believe that we're justified by faith alone apart from works just like it says in Ephesians 2. The primary verse used to challenge the Protestant position is James 2:24 which says, “​​You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.” We can resolve this with a verse-by-verse study through James 2:14-26.
